Alabama fans — Tide Illustrated is merging with BamaOnline on the On3 | Rivals network to create the largest and most connected destination for Crimson Tide recruiting and team coverage.
What’s happening?
The Rivals site Tide Illustrated is merging into On3’s BamaOnline to form a single, unified home for Alabama fans. The Tide Illustrated staff will not be joining the new On3 | Rivals network. We thank them for their contributions and wish them the best moving forward.
Moving forward, you’ll be part of the largest and most trusted Bama community online, featuring a powerhouse team of insiders and The Round Table message board where all the Tide fans gather to discuss everything from football to movie recommendations.
- Publisher Tim Watts got his start at Rivals and helped build BOL to what it is today. He was there over a decade and has been a name for TIde fans for over 20 years.
- Recruiting Editor Andrew Bone should be another familiar name. He also worked at Rivals for over 10 years and Bone has also been a staple in the Alabama market for over 20 years.
- Those two team up to give you the best recruiting coverage anywhere. But they also talk sports year round and are two of the most active message board publishers in the On3 network.
- Charlie Potter handles all team coverage and has been at BOL for over 10 years. He is known as one of the best content providers in the On3 network.
- Blake Byler is new to the team but he assists Potter with team coverage while also being an active basketball writer covering both recruiting and the team.
I’m a Tide Illustrated (Rivals) subscriber. Do I need to do anything?
No — you’re all set.
Your subscription has automatically transferred to BamaOnline on the On3 | Rivals platform. You now get access to the same Alabama coverage, plus even more expertise, resources, and content plus The Round Table-the premium message board for Tide fans only.
Not only do you get the BOL staff but such national experts as Steve “Fong Bomb” Wilftong and Chad Simmons who spent many years at Rivals. They make up the best tag team duo or national recruiting writer in the industry.
Will my subscription rate change?
No.
You’ll be grandfathered in at your current rate — as long as you stay active and don’t cancel or let your subscription lapse.
Do I need to create a new login?
No.
Your existing login credentials will still work. If you run into any issues, just contact us at support@on3.com and we’ll help you out.
Can I still post on the message board?
Yes. In fact we encourage it. Please feel free to jump right in and introduce yourself. The Round Table is for Alabama fans only so you will be among friends.

Your post history and username from Rivals have been transferred. If there was a username conflict, we may have added a prefix like “r_” or “o_”. Want to update it? Just reach out to support.

I subscribed to both Tide Illustrated and BamaOnline. What happens?
No problem — if you had dual subscriptions, we’ve already turned off auto-renew on your Rivals account so you won’t be double billed.
